I have a BA in Psychology from Purdue University (2003) and a Master's in Social Work from Indiana University (2006). I’ve been practicing since 2006. I have spent 4 years working in private practice settings, 12 years working with DCS/probation/court-ordered clients, 7 years working in the jail setting (6 of those being the clinical supervisor), and have experience as a clinical director in an addiction recovery facility. I have worked with groups, couples, those who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder (with and without psychotic features), OCD, ADHD, suicidal ideation, crisis intervention, gender issues, adjustment disorder, parenting issues, stress, self-esteem, self-worth, self-respect, codependency, relationship issues, and many more. I have a passion for working with those who have addiction issues and have almost 2 decades of experience with this population.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Our first session is getting to know one another and a lot of information gathering. Intakes provide some information, but I always have more to ask. If needed, you will be provided with some tools and assignments to work on for the next sessions.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I tailor treatment to the individual, which may include one, or many, different modalities.

I will not give you goals until I know you can achieve them, and I will not make you do it alone. I am a compassionate and caring person, and I am extremely resourceful to help give you tools to achieve your desired level of living a healthy and fulfilling life. I will definitely help push you to be the best version of you!! With that said, I do not enable. My approach is to ensure the best outcome for you and I tell you what you need to hear and do, not what you want to hear. I want to make the best of your time as I know it is valuable.
