As a therapist trained in person-centered and person-in-environment therapy, I prioritize building strong, empathetic relationships with my clients, and using their unique experiences and perspectives to guide our work together. My approach to therapy is to first offer an environment in which the client feels comfortable and secure to share things. I utilize person-centered techniques to treat the whole person and ensure that what is done in therapy is personalized, collaborative, and unique to you as a client.I have compassion for people going through life's challenges and transitions, and feel privileged to work with those who are seeking support. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and that therapy is a tool used to empower them to use their own strengths to overcome situational obstacles they are facing.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will start slow and at your pace. We will introduce ourselves and then slowly get to know one another. We will naturally work together to determine your comfort level and how to proceed comfortably. You'll feel warmth and comfort to make room for you to begin the therapeutic journey.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As a therapist trained in person-centered and person-in-environment therapy, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to form strong, empathetic relationships with my clients, and to understand and work within the broader social, cultural, and political contexts that impact their lives. Through person-centered therapy, I am able to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood. By actively listening and validating their experiences, I help clients gain greater self-awareness, build self-esteem, and learn to trust their own decision-making skills.
