I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Georgia with seven years of experience. I graduated from Florida State University School of Social Work in 2015. Since graduating in 2015 I have worked in school settings, corrections, geriatric and private practice. I facilitate my clients in making positive changes for their life, challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life changing situations. My counseling approach is from a place of empathy, mindful and client-centered perspective, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity. I work from the mindset that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths to draw from that will assist you in doing great things and overcoming the lifestyle changes and momentary roadblocks that you are experiencing in this moment. Before even meeting you, I want to acknowledge the start of growth you have already taken by signing up for therapy. In this very moment you have taken the necessary steps for change and you have shown the courage to continue on this path. I am proud of you for getting started! I am excited to meet you and work together to identify your goals and make the right plans for you to achieve them!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I'm so happy that you reached out for help. My goal and hope in working together is two-fold. Short term, I'd like to help you to get some relief and sense of closure regarding your current life challenge(s), and to ease some of the obstacles you are currently experiencing so you can live a full life again. Long term, I hope that we can get to the core of the feelings, concerns and dilemmas that are causing strife on your daily functions and interactions with others. I understand that this process this may be new and uncomfortable for you. I want you to know, you have done the first (and most important) step of reaching out for help. Together we will keep taking one step at a time, at a pace that you feel comfortable with.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach is solution focused, client centered, and strengths based drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Mindfulness, and Trauma Focused.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

"How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you" -Rupi Kaur; is one of my favorite quotes and is instrumental in how I work with my clients. I am a firm believer in self love fosters a greater sense of self, how we communicate with others and empowers us as humans to navigate challenges that arise in our life. As your therapist my goal is to help foster and bring forward your inner strengths and talents to utilize in overcoming challenges and reaching goals you set for yourself.
