Hi, I'm Richelle. I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with over eight years of experience helping individuals improve their mental health and quality of life. I have worked in a variety of settings, including online therapy. Right now, life may feel hard. You’ve faced many challenges that seemed to have come out of nowhere, and you're constantly doing your best to navigate through them. You struggle to set healthy boundaries and often feel overwhelmed. Asking for help isn't always easy. You may say to yourself, “What will people think? I can figure it out on my own.” It’s tough because you usually go at it alone, carrying the load and bearing the burden. However, deep down inside, you know that something isn't quite right and that you could use some support. Does this sound familiar? As someone who has been there before, I understand how tough it can be to take that first step to reach out. While you may feel like you have to handle everything yourself, these are the times when reaching out for help can give you some direction and help you find your path forward. The truth is, it takes strength and courage to say, “I need help.” And when you do, you'll find that you have the inner strengths and abilities to make meaningful change in your life. Together, we can work to discover those strengths and create a path forward that's tailored to your unique needs and goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will start with brief introductions and then I will answer any questions you may have about the counseling process. Next, I will ask questions to get to know more about your needs and goals for counseling and together we will create a customized plan for the improvement of your mental health and overall well-being. Lastly, we will schedule our next follow-up session based on your availability and whether or not you would like to schedule weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe in utilizing a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support my clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. In addition, I use a trauma-informed approach to care, which prioritizes understanding the impact of past experiences on current well-being. It's essential to me that my clients feel safe and supported, so I strive to maintain a culturally sensitive atmosphere where each person can share their unique experiences and perspectives. By working together in this way, I hope to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have extensive experience treating various mental and emotional issues, including depression, anxiety, stress-related issues, anger, and relationship problems. My passion is empowering women to improve their skills in setting boundaries, self-care, and assertive communication. Additionally, I have received training in integrating Christian faith principals into treatment, which is available upon request. Empathy and respect are two essential elements of creating a teamwork-based therapeutic relationship. Choosing a counselor can be an intimidating and overwhelming process, so we will start with scheduling you for a free 10-15 minute consultation where you can ask any questions that you may have about the counseling process. Together we can bring lasting solutions with long-term impact.
