Hi there, I’m Hope. Are the stressors of everyday life taking a toll on you? Left unchecked, those stressors can show up as anxiety, depression, and self-doubt which can negatively impact your interpersonal relationships and health. I help people manage and process the effect of those stressors. Together we can, identify some positive coping mechanisms to improve your quality of life. We will use an all-encompassing approach that focuses on the health of the body and mind. I promote integrating healthy life habits that include; positive affirmations, mindfulness, and art to increase self-awareness and self-love as I’m a big proponent of self-acceptance! Though therapy can be scary, think of it as the first step! After all you deserve some peace. In sessions together, I will meet you where you are at and we will go from there.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first few sessions we will take time to get to know each other, identify goals and explore the life stressors. In the later sessions we will collaborate to identify positive coping mechanisms and learn ways to apply those skills practically in everyday situations. You can count on my support through each step. Going forward we can adjust sessions to suit your needs as they grow and change on your journey.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Depending on your presenting problem, treatment methods of Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) will be utilized. PCT: helps to facilitate personal growth and development, eliminate, or mitigate feelings of distress, increase self-esteem and openness to experience and enhance the understanding of thyself. CBT: faulty thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts resulting to reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety. DBT: teaches people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, and regulate emotions. SFBT: is goal-directed and focuses on building solutions, rather than solving problems.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In each of the modalities identified in question 3, showing compassion, being a great listener and providing unconditional positive regard is a must and those are qualities that I do well.
