I use an integrative approach—including CBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based methods—to provide flexible, personalized care. I also offer court-ordered co-parenting sessions. I’ve supported clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, cultural adjustments, and major life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and hopeful. Born in Cambodia, I moved to the U.S. in 2003 with the support of my adoptive American family. I hold a B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy and an M.S. in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and I’m currently pursuing my PhD. I’m here to support you with a safe, nonjudgmental space to build trust. My approach is all about empowering you to take control of your life. Asking for help takes courage, so congratulations on taking that first step toward healing. I have a heartfelt passion for supporting partners through the postpartum period and the impact it can have on their relationship. I specialize in couples and family therapy through an attachment lens. Together, we devote an hour weekly, biweekly, or monthly to devote exclusively to you!
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Chenda has extensive experience working with those who suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship dissatisfaction, phase of life issues, life crises, acculturation stress, and racial diversity issues.
I am so happy you are putting yourself out there and looking for some support! I would love to start an initial assessment with you to get an idea on what you are looking for. I can't guarantee I would be a good fit but I would love to see if I can help in any way! I love working with young professionals who are in the first few years of their careers. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers.
An attachment-based approach to therapy looks at the connection between an infant's early attachment experiences with primary caregivers, usually with parents, and the infant's ability to develop normally and ultimately form healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult.

I work from a structural approach, meaning that the whole system of the child's life matters to me; through play and parental support, a child can learn and practice healthier ways to live and make choices in their different life domains.

Chenda has been very helpful in providing a safe environment void of shame. She’s helped me become more confident in my relationships with others and I’ve been challenged a lot and have learned tons about my conditions and how to handle them.
