Hi there! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and I have been a practicing clinician for 7 years. I received my license in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2020. I have worked as a clinician in a variety of non-profit, for-profit, and private practice settings treating children, teens, adults, and seniors. I strive to treat clients from an integrative and holistic model utilizing several different therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, and mindfulness from an evidence-based and client-centered approach.
Our first session will be centered around getting to know each other. I will inform you of my credentials and verify that you're currently residing in California since this is the only state I'm currently licensed in. I will also review informed consent, limits of confidentiality, telehealth guidelines, payment, and the structure of each session. I encourage you to ask me questions to determine if I'm the best fit for you as a therapist and I will be asking questions related to your bio/psycho/social history to gain a better understanding of your current mental health status and how to best serve you. The intake process may take up to 2-3 sessions before we develop a treatment plan.
I strive for authenticity and integrity in my work. Having worked with highly sensitive people, and being one myself, I am highly empathetic but believe in the importance of maintaining boundaries that ensure a sense of safety and containment in a relationship. There isn't a therapeutic intervention I would suggest that I haven't tried myself.
I am eager to work with adults of all ages. I trust that clients who are seeking therapy are motivated for positive change but may not have the tools to make these changes YET. I believe therapy should be collaborative process and receiving and giving feedback is important for me to learn and grow with you.
I utilize CBT as a foundational therapeutic modality in attempts to help a person understand and perceive their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I can’t imagine myself finding a therapist I connect with in this way. Love this therapist!

Ashley is a wonderful therapist who I can tell works hard to support me to the best of her ability. I like that she's not afraid of silence in our sessions and takes the time to really think about what she wants to tell me before saying it. She's very mindful of the speaking space and has always been very receptive when I bring up suggestions on what kind of therapy approach works best for me.

Ashley is an incredible therapist that not only provides advice but also the resources that allows me to self-serve in between our sessions. She provides details in a very digestible manner and provides great context. I highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a therapist that is incredibly understanding and willing to take the time to figure out how your brain works and how to work with it vs against it.
