I’m Jacqueline! I’m a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas. I am a collaborative practitioner, which means surrendering the invisible pressures to know it all, to be the expert, or to assume I know what's best for my client. I have learned that the client is always the expert of themselves, and I have learned how to be a co-traveler and follow their lead. Together, we create meaning from life’s most difficult lessons, strategize solutions to problems, and discover maps to navigate life’s perplexing terrain. As my Clients often say, “This really is a healing conversation.”
Our sessions are scheduled for 53 minutes. During the first session, the Therapist will verbally go over the paperwork you electronically signed and provide answers to any questions. The session will then be open to talk about whatever you would like to talk about. You will have an opportunity to share what you would like to get out of your therapy experience. Your therapist will listen to you, ask you thoughtful questions, show compassion, and offer tools that could be helpful for your needs. At the end of the session, you will be invited to schedule your next session.
As a provider, I believe my greatest strength lies in my personal qualities and commitment to ongoing growth. I strive to embody integrity, empathy, and compassion in every interaction with my clients. Additionally, I continuously seek knowledge and skill development to enhance my effectiveness as a therapist. Moreover, I view my role as a conduit for healing, remaining open and available to be used by God. This holistic approach enables me to connect authentically with clients and facilitate meaningful transformation in their lives.
I am most effective when working with adults and couples, and families.
I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help clients explore and understand the various parts of themselves, each with unique perspectives and emotions. Through guided introspection and dialogue, clients learn to cultivate compassion and curiosity towards these internal parts, fostering self-awareness and healing. By recognizing and integrating these different aspects, individuals often experience profound shifts in their relationship with themselves and others, leading to greater authenticity and emotional well-being.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to distress. Through collaborative exploration and practical exercises, clients learn to reframe unhelpful beliefs and develop healthier coping strategies. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, clients gain valuable skills to effectively manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges, empowering them to lead more fulfilling lives.
