Hi there, I'm Linsey Do you know something is going on with your teen, but you're not sure what it is? Are they more irritable or angry than normal? I help teens learn how to cope with Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD,) situational stress, and self-esteem issues. Are you struggling with any of these issues or don't know what to do with your teen in certain situations? I also love working with adults and giving them tools to deal with stress, parenting, and Anxiety. Last, but not least, do you have a loved one who is struggling with substance abuse and you need to talk about what is going on or learn how to handle situations? I can help you navigate appropriate boundary setting in particular situations that come up. I will help guide you to the best version of yourself and how I will accomplish that will be different for everyone because you are one of a kind. It's hard to reach out for help and I'm glad you did. My office is a safe, nonjudgemental zone where we will journey through a range of emotions together, so expect to laugh too!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When you first come to see me, I want you to walk away with the hope that things can and will get better. In the first session, I will gather information to be able to best help you and share with you a plan on how that will be accomplished.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT to help clients overcome Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and self-esteem issues. I am a compassion-focused, therapist who also uses techniques called motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral skills, Solution Focused treatments, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy or REBT.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is helping clients learn to change their thinking and this will ultimately help you change how you feel about certain things. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me.
