Hello, I welcome you to this transformative partnership. I am thankful to offer both my passion and my expertise in supporting adults, 18 years and older, residing in Florida. With specialization in treating the wounds of trauma, navigating the complexities of grief, and managing the depths of anxiety, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide you toward personal growth. I earned my Masters in Art Therapy from Florida State University in 2010 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2013. I have developed a unique perspective through my work in dually diagnosed outpatient settings, inpatient units, and with active-duty military personnel. Recognizing the distinct needs of each individual, I am privileged to tailor a personalized and holistic approach to care. BUSINESS HOURS are Eastern Standard Time: Monday:10a-7p, Tuesday:9a-6:30p, Wednesday:9a-4:30p, Thursday:9a-6:30p. Late Cancellation/No Call No Show (NCNS) Fee: $60
After your intake , we will discuss scheduling your first session. Typically, we will review your treatment goals and begin working on coping resources while developing a therapeutic alliance. If you are seeking EMDR sessions, they can be conducted virtually, but it is important to note re-processing will not occur in the first few sessions. We will focus on creating a treatment plan for memories and make sure you are educated on what the experience will be like before beginning the re-processing part of EMDR.
My background in art therapy, EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness enables me to utilize the most appropriate tools to better serve my clients. I have used EMDR to address various traumas (chronic, sexual assault, death, combat, natural disaster, childhood abuse, car accidents, and neglect). My style allows me to be a compassionate guide as you process your hurt and pain to move toward healing. Clients will gain a deeper understanding of how different losses (job, house, dreams, relationships, physical abilities, mental abilities) can impact them and find the skills to help them process.
Avoidance and Acceptance in grief, anxiety, and trauma: It can be confusing and overwhelming to examine things head-on. I have had the honor of coming alongside clients who have faced many terrible events to help them break free from the past. I can help you learn how to understand and respond to your body when your emotions create physical symptoms that lead to distress. I can assist you in learning how to live a life that still honors who you are and in identifying areas of meaningfulness for you
