Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in California and Nevada. I enjoy working with adults and teens who struggle with emotional overwhelm, anxiety, work-life balance, interpersonal relationship issues, and ADHD. My focus is on empowering my clients to lead more fulfilling lives despite their challenges. Additionally, my clinical experience includes helping clients cultivate healthy relationships with exercise. I also have a passion for social justice and advocacy and the important role they play in mental health.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with adults and teens from diverse backgrounds, I am passionate about helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress in a supportive and empathetic environment.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with adults and teens. My clients are motivated to improve but lack the resources to turn this goal into reality. They frequently feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about numerous issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use the following key components of CBT: initial assessment, goal setting, helping the client identify negative thought patterns, behavioral interventions, cognitive restructuring, and homework assignments.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I focus on empowering my clients to lead more fulfilling lives despite their challenges. This is through helping them to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than trying to change or avoid them. This also helps clients identify their values and commit to actions that align with them, fostering psychological flexibility. Mindfulness is also a technique for enhancing awareness of the present moment, while cognitive diffusion is used to detach from unhelpful thoughts.

Narrative

In my practice, I use narrative therapy to help you explore and reframe the stories you tell about your life. Together, we’ll examine the experiences that shape your identity and identify any patterns or beliefs that may be holding you back. By externalizing challenges and viewing them as separate from you, we can work on rewriting your narrative in a way that empowers you. This process allows you to recognize your strengths and resources, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and authentic life.
