I greet every client with the belief that we are born into this world with the capacity for living unique and healthy lives. I believe that it is the stressors of challenging individual experiences, pain and illnesses, trauma, and attachment injuries that move us off our centers and cause symptoms of depression, anxiety, and dysfunctional defensive behaviors. My goal is to create a setting in which my client feels safe and supported, and therefore able to re-examine the patterns that form our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Together as a collaboration we can take the fascinating journey and reach for full potential, coherence and health

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When we work together through Body + Mind Therapy, there is an alignment with the nervous system that promotes regulation, homeostasis and overall health and well being. These factors heal symptoms of anxiety and depression as well as defensive maladaptive coping skills in behaviors. The best outcome is self regulation so the client can function well and life becomes "easier" to manage. Therapy has been a success. Future sessions would include talking about problem solving and important life decisions with fewer sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Mind + Body Therapy is dedicated to providing tools that help one access their own internal resources. Experiences, as well as our interpretations of those experiences, are reflected not only in our thoughts and feelings but also in the way we move, how we breathe and how we have held our bodies over the years. Body-Centered psychotherapy can support the healing of trauma and stressors to enhance our fulfillment and participation in life. Body psychotherapy helps people support and harmonize their concerns through a combined exploration of talking, becoming deeply aware of bodily sensations as well as emotions, behaviors and images.
