My name is Jasmine Johnson and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who believes in the corrective experience; a central role in the transformative process.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with many different populations for the past 8 years, I've developed skills to help an array of clients identify the root cause of their challenges and create tailored plans that lead to measurable progress.
Through exercises in the session as well as “homework” exercises outside of sessions, patients/clients are helped to develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.
Developing skills related to accepting circumstances and making changes; analyzing behaviors and learning healthier patterns of responding; changing unhelpful, maladaptive, or negative thoughts; developing collaboration skills; learning new skills; and receiving support.
