(she/her)
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA) in North Carolina. Throughout my career, I have worked across a variety of mental health settings and continue to pursue ongoing training to provide the highest quality care and best meet the unique needs of each client. I am passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate challenges related to anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, grief, loss, interpersonal conflict, and relationship difficulties. Life’s experiences can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, making it difficult to regulate emotions, maintain healthy relationships, or move forward with confidence. My approach focuses not only on addressing immediate concerns but also on identifying and working through the underlying causes of distress to create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and respect, where clients feel supported as they explore their experiences and develop new ways of coping and healing. Through my education, professional training, and clinical experience, I have come to believe that every individual possesses strengths and resilience that can be cultivated to overcome life's challenges. It is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they discover those strengths, gain insight, and work toward greater healing, balance, and fulfillment. I look forward to working with you!
Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. During this session, you will have the chance to share the concerns that brought you to therapy, discuss your personal history, and explore what you hope to gain from the counseling process. We will also talk about your goals, expectations, and any questions you may have about therapy. Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and developing a collaborative plan to support your growth, healing, and overall well-being. The first session is designed to be a safe, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin working toward meaningful and lasting change.
I bring a diverse range of clinical experience gained through working in a variety of settings with individuals from many cultural, social, and personal backgrounds. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, individualized care that respects each client's unique story and perspective. In addition to my clinical experience, I am committed to ongoing professional development and advanced training. This allows me to incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, build on their strengths, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. My approach combines clinical knowledge, authenticity, and genuine compassion to help clients navigate life's difficulties while fostering resilience, growth, and healing.
I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults who have faced challenges in their lives. My focus has been with individuals who have experienced trauma, transitions, or loss.
