I'm a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. My hope is to uplift and empower my clients - who are individuals who feel called to do the deep and meaningful work it takes to realize their unique inner power and innate ability to heal. I take a somatic and embodied approach to therapy; meaning I truly lean into curiosity surrounding what messages the body is sending and holding. If youโre feeling disconnected from yourself, feel like your emotions are controlling you, going through a time of transition, coping with depression, anxiety, trauma- or just want to feel more in control of your life/more in alignment with your true self: welcome to your journey back to yourself. I can support you in (re)connecting with your inner bright light, and feeling more in tune with yourself and your body.

I take a balanced approach of offering guidance throughout the therapeutic process, while also following my client's lead. I offer gentle support in helping clients identify their treatment goals, and my sessions always empower autonomy. I foster the development of self-trust in sessions- therapy with me is extremely collaborative and you always have a say in what we do, or don't do; talk or don't talk about. During your first session, we can discuss more about my offerings and approaches as an art therapist- and if the creative process is something you'd like to invite into your therapy experience. No need to worry, though- if you do not see art-making or creativity having a place in your treatment, we can engage in talk therapy. You can choose what sessions include art, and which ones do not! During your first session and beyond, establishing a therapeutic bond that allows you to feel comfortable and safe, is my top priority.
I'm a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor I make space in sessions for all Parts of you, and believe in the impact of a compassionate, judgement free, curious approach to mental health counseling! Artistic ability isnโt required to benefit from art therapy (I believe we are all artists and creatives)- and art-making in session isnโt โmandatory,โ I follow the lead of my clients and their comfort levels!
As a board certified art therapist, using expressive and experiential modalities like art can support my clients in deeply exploring their emotional experiences. Experiencing new self-insights through your own hands-on engagements in sessions.
I take a relational approach to therapy, meaning our relationship is very important to me, and I believe in the therapeutic relationship being a powerful tool for healing- as an agent of change.
Turning to the body and somatic experiences to empower clients to view themselves in their wholeness. Getting curious about how emotions and lived experiences can show up in the body, and how we can be in relationship with our bodies in a way that honors the information our body is providing- Choosing to engage with compassion and curiosity.
Providing effective coping that promotes emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness.
Exploring the relationship between the unconscious and conscious- using archetypes as a way to explore "parts" of us that are at times in conflict, or holding us back from our truest expression of ourselves.
