Brittney is a Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSAPT). Brittney has a combined 15 years of experience with mental healthcare treatment. Brittney has worked in community based care during her career and has experience with simple to complex cases. Additionally, Brittney is trained in evidence-based models to process trauma, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
In our first session, I will want to know what specific challenges you are facing . I will gather a lot of background information to help identify symptoms and targets for treatment. We will work together to create a very individualized treatment plan to help guide your journey!
Having worked with clients ranging from simple to complex issues, I have been able to develop a genuine empathetic understanding for helping others. By building therapeutic rapport, I am able to connect with clients and help find core issues. By doing so, clients are able to identify problems and find solutions more efficiently.
