Greetings, I'm Maritza Solis, a bilingual and bicultural clinical therapist who is passionate about holistic methods to heal people's mind, body, and spirit. Through my culture I learned about the power of community, spirituality, and natural remedies to promote well-being. My philosophy of therapy is based on the belief that everyone has the ability to heal themselves, and my role is to facilitate that process by providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. I draw from evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behavior therapy, as well as natural remedies, prayer, meditation, and yoga to create a truly holistic approach. Ultimately, my goal as a therapist is to empower individuals to live their best lives by helping them reconnect with their inner selves and tap into their own inherent healing abilities. I believe that true healing happens when we address the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. Open to working with children and adolescents ages 8 and older.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work together in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinical therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my dedicated pursuit of holistic healing, addressing the interconnected aspects of the mind, body, and spirit. My proficiency in evidence-based practices ensures a grounded and clinically validated foundation in my therapeutic approach. What sets me apart is my integration of natural remedies, prayer, meditation, and yoga into the therapeutic process, fostering a truly holistic environment that nurtures mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. This comprehensive approach allows me to tailor interventions to the unique needs of each individual, promoting lasting and transformative healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT in helping and assisting clients become aware of their thought process and make conscious and necessary changes to the thought process if the thought process is negative or irrational.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is incorporated in sessions to assist clients on how to regulate and control our emotions. We must learn to react consciously not reactively or emotionally. DBT also helps with learning distress tolerance skills as well as mindfulness.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes we can get stuck in the problem and find ourselves not moving to solve it. I assist individuals with talking and processing the problem then moving towards a solution.
