Candice V Wilkins
My specialty is serving those who have experienced the traumatic death of a loved one, with a particular focus on supporting survivors of suicide loss. I understand that suicide grief can bring a unique and complicated experience often involving unanswered questions and difficult emotions. It is an honor to walk alongside individuals as they process their traumatic grief, and find ways to continue to carry their loved one’s memory with them. I am trained in EMDR therapy and have used this approach for nearly three years to help clients process trauma related to the loss of a loved one. I also draw from narrative and person-centered approaches, meeting clients where they are in their grief journey. My goal is to walk alongside my clients as they discover their own capacity for healing, and finding hope.
Drawing on my training in EMDR, I assist clients in processing trauma-related symptoms and finding stability and meaning after devastating loss.
I also support individuals experiencing other traumatic losses, chronic and terminal illness, anticipatory grief, caregiver stress and burnout, and relationship loss.
