I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C) in Maryland and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington, DC. I received my Masters in Social Work from Howard University and have been practicing for almost 30 years. I help adults (individual and couples) with learning healthy communication skills, setting boundaries, learning coping skills, learning stress management techniques, & improving self-esteem and self-worth.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and then move into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As an interactive, cognitive behavioral therapist my therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help patients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each patient. With compassion and understanding I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
