I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania. I am a therapist with over 15 years of field experience working with clients, couples, and families with a wide range of identities, ages, needs, and settings. I have a passion for helping my clients increase self-awareness, gain insight and new perspectives, connect to their inner voice, learn build the protective factors in their life, leverage their strengths to overcome challenges, and to find a sense of belonging in the world. The foundation of my approach is rooted in my education in Psychology and Sociology undergraduate degree from U Pitt, and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Having courses, fieldwork, and research experience that blends behavioral, biological, social factors on both a micro and macro level has been crucial to developing my approach to treat mental health care - as healthcare, to treat clients holistically, incorporating and collaborating with other supportive therapies and providers.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Starting therapy, especially with a new therapist or for the first time, can indeed be daunting. However, I believe that new experiences are not only transformative but also represent a strength in seeking help. Taking ownership of your journey and making strides toward the life you envision is truly commendable. In our first session, my goal is for you to feel that I embody everything in this profile. I aim to create a warm, collaborative environment that eases any fears you may have, allowing you to freely express your thoughts and feelings in a space of unconditional positive regard and safety.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a clinician lies in collaboration, transparency, and conducting thorough assessments throughout the therapeutic journey. These strengths are vital for clients to build trust, fully engage in the process, feel anchored in their long-term goals, and gain a sense of empowerment through increased understanding. Together, we can piece together every aspect, one step at a time, until the complete picture emerges.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am ideal choice for teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing chronic or acute stress, feeling stuck, struggling to cope with life transitions - new parents, marriage or divorce, blending families, new diagnosis, seeking clarification of diagnosis, adding or losing family members, becoming a parent, struggling to find balance in their lives, feel overwhelmed by work or personal conflicts, or striving to improve social skills in complex and demanding environments such as school and work.
