Hi there, I’m Tarah! Have you recently experienced a loss? A loss you thought you were handling well, but now your life feels it is in a million pieces. This could be from a job, a death of a loved one, a new diagnosis, divorce or a move filled with uncertainty. Grief is an internal part of loss that affects everyone differently and at different stages of their lives. It is a journey that takes time. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or angry from the grief, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but you're taking a step in the right direction. I can provide you a safe therapeutic space to heal, grow and feel like yourself again.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

There are times when your feelings become intrusive and difficult to navigate. It can feel like they are taking over your life. Together we will untangle these emotions and feelings that appear with grief and loss in order to move forward to a calmer, happier place. We will work together and help you learn practical strategies to reduce distress, gain insight, build deeper and more authentic connections, and develop skills for living a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I approach this work with a holistic outlook to help you learn the skills to better manage difficult emotions and find a renewed sense of happiness. I utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness meditation.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my commitment and passion to help and improve lives of others is my biggest strength. I am here for you and your journey.
