I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable to share their struggles and challenges. Together we will come up with a plan that will be unique to your specific needs. I will teach you many tools and techniques that will help you manage life challenges.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions. You can expect to to establish rapport and build a trusting relationship. We will discuss reason for seeking counseling, personal history, and goals for therapy. We will discuss confidentiality, informed consent, and I can answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
I use a collaborative, client-centered, holistic approach to fully understand each client’s unique needs and desires. You are the expert when it comes to your life. I use a variety of treatment methods and tools to help each client reach their goals. I use Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-based, Mindfulness, Trust-Based Relationship Interventions (TBRI).
I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. My greatest strength lies in my ability to listen actively and empathetically and to help create a safe and non-judgemental space for my client to express themselves and work through whatever is going on in their life.
