Hello ! My name is Courtney and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with my masters degree in social work in 2019. I work with people of all ages, however I have the most experience working with children and adolescents, as well as parents. As a social worker, I believe in working with my clients collaboratively to empower and support them in navigating change and difficult moments in their life. I use different approaches to meet each individual client's needs and am experienced in different treatments, such as CBT, DBT and solution-focused approaches, along with other types of therapeutic treatments. I specialize in strength-based and trauma informed approaches that allows us to focus on how to use your strengths to help you succeed in areas of your life. I have a history of working with clients who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD and a variety of other challenges that individuals may be experiencing. I have experience treating children, adolescents and adults, supporting them in navigating complex family dynamics, supporting them in advocating for their needs, developing skills to manage and process their thoughts feelings and emotions, as well as set necessary boundaries in their life. I believe in creating a therapeutic partnership to allow the client the space to feel safe and secure in being vulnerable within sessions, and to grow to their full potential and I would like to a part of this journey with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will take some time to get to know one another and developing our therapeutic relationship with one another. I will ask you some questions on what you are looking for in services and what you would like to work on. This will help me create a plan of how to best support you !

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my strength based and relationship based approach. Having an environment that you feel comfortable enough to share and be vulnerable is one of the most important parts of therapy. I feel as if that is my biggest strength!
