Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, I take the time to get to know my clients and their unique situations. I ask questions about their mental health history, symptoms, and any other factors that could impact their well-being. This comprehensive assessment helps me gain a clear understanding of their concerns and develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their individual needs. I also take the opportunity to discuss different treatment modalities and resources that may be helpful for their specific situation. This includes discussing various therapy options, medication management, lifestyle changes, and community resources that can provide support.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I consider empathy and active listening to be my greatest strengths. Active listening helps create a therapeutic environment that promotes trust and improves patient outcomes. I always listen attentively, communicate effectively, positively, and politely, and keep an open mind.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy helping clients with anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar, PTSD/Trauma, OCD, ADHD/ADD, substance use, and sleep disorders.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to teach my clients that having control over one's thoughts, feelings, and actions is possible. CBT uses practical strategies to change or modify behavior.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a focused, goal-directed technique to help clients explore and resolve their ambivalence about behavior change. I employ the five principles of M; acceptance, awareness of consequences, resistance, momentum, and belief that change is possible.

A lovely provider that makes me feel comfortable sharing if I’m having any difficulties with medication. She makes sure that everything is going well and I am having no side affects.

She is responsive, listens and gives logical explanations. She is knowledgeable and knows humans are complicated and also knows as the patient I have to do my part. A two way conversation for my highest good. I appreciate that. Warm regards.
