About me

I have over a decade of experience working with kids, families, and individuals. I enjoy helping clients navigate the complexities of life and find the support they need to thrive. Helping walk through difficult life transitions is particularly meaningful to me, and I hope to help you find peace and clarity during these challenging times. Whether you are a new parent, a new grandparent, or blending a family, there are always challenges with any new adventure. I received my master's degree from The University of Georgia in 2011 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, you can expect introductions and time to discuss the challenges that bring you in to therapy. We will work together to identify goals for therapy and take the first steps in order to achieve those goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Being empathic, nonjudgemental, skilled, and committed to clients' well-being, growth, and confidentiality.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy supporting individuals through the profound changes that come with significant events like the birth of a child, becoming a grandparent, embarking on a new marriage, or witnessing their child's marriage. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I help individuals and families embrace these transformative moments and find strength in adapting to the ever-evolving chapters of their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I choose to use CBT with clients who seek practical solutions to identify the factors that contribute to their current life circumstances and feelings about themselves and others.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a helpful model to build coping skills and increase acceptance. Using easy to apply skills, it brings relief to those who are facing internal struggles.

I've worked extensively with parents and children to work towards a shared goal of improving family dynamics, communication, and address relational issues collectively.

Collaborative Management and Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS)

I am a trained CAMS clinician and use this collaborative approach to address and reduce suicidal thoughts.

Structural Family Therapy

By addressing how members of the family relate to one another, my goal when using this therapy is to improve communication and relationships to create positive changes for both individual family members and the family unit as a whole.
