Hello! I am a psychologist with eight years of experience working with a diverse range of clients. I received my doctorate from William James College. I've been I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma, among other issues. My approach is collaborative and strength-based. I see therapy as a team effort, with the client-clinician relationship being one of the most effective tools in treatment. You'll find me to be empathic and genuine, and a little off beat.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing, as well as answer any questions you have. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a diverse client population for the last ten years, who have faced a wide variety of challenges (anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, low self-esteem and low self-worth, lack of consistent coping skills, lack of balance in their roles), I am well equipped to support adult clients with a wide range of challenges.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who are struggling with transitioning to adulthood, parents who are struggling to find balance and feel overwhelmed by everything they have to do, adult trauma survivors, and adults looking to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and develop stronger coping skills. Much of my work has been with adults, focusing on validating the stress and pressure of living with mental health struggles. I have worked in particular with adult female clients who have fallen into a "caretaker" roll and are unsure of how to prioritize themselves. My clients are eager to improve and develop insight, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel anxious, stressed and overwhelmed.

My treatment methods

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I've been lucky enough to work with a wide variety of clients from diverse backgrounds. Doing so has allowed me to gain insight and humility, and I strive to be sensitive, and embrace my clients' cultures. As your therapist, I will work with your cultural background to find strength and meaning.

Eclectic

My approach is individualistic and tailored to each client. Therapy works best when the client feels heard and understood. I use different therapeutic elements on my session, including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and more. It is important that we find the approach that is suited to you as an individual.

Strength-Based

As your therapist, I will meet you where you are in your journey. However, it's important for me to be a step ahead by focusing on your strengths, so we can move you towards your goals. I will work with you to help you develop a more positive and accurate sense of self, and to use the strengths you have.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The therapeutic relationship is vital to a client's success. I will meet you where you are, work to understand your experiences, and see things from your point of view. Unconditional positive regard is key to Person-Centered therapy, and I will provide you with support and care.

Trauma Informed Care

Over the last ten years, I have worked with a population in which trauma is overrepresented. Most of my current clients have suffered trauma. Using support, evidence based techniques, and psychoeducation, we will work together to find ways to alleviate your symptoms and help you live a better life.
