I'm Dr Yuko. California and Wyoming Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I've been working in mental health since 1998. I specialize in Traumas (early traumas that still affect adulthood), Grief, and psychological testing. I use my "Attachment Theory based Psychodynamic Psychotherapy." The target population is middle-aged or older people. I don't teach skills. I don't advise on what to do. My psychotherapy is based on a psychoanalytic perspective to help people be aware of themselves and gain psychological strength in themselves to discover their own future or the meanings of their lives.
I do "attachment theory-based psychodynamic psychotherapy." Accordingly, "good therapeutic match" and "client's readiness for psychodynamic psychotherapy" are extremely important. I'll assess them at the initial intake since I know Dr Yuko's psychotherapy isn't for everybody. I only work for Trauma and Grief. No other issue.
Specialize in longtime trauma and grief. Psychological Testing. Knowledgeable in neuropsychology.
Above the middle-aged and geriatric population, LGBTQ As I studied clinical psychology in the US, my psychotherapy is based on "Western Psychotherapy." I am aware of cultural differences, so I've learned that my psychotherapy works best for people who have Western cultural backgrounds. I'm not so sure how effective my psychodynamic psychotherapy will be for people from other cultures.
I've been working with my own "Attachment theory-based psychodynamic psychotherapy" for over 20 years.
