Welcome! I am so glad you have taken the first step in your healing journey. The path to mental wellness is often less challenging than you may think. It helps to have someone to partner with along this path. With the right tips, tools, and action; mental wellness can be achieved. By creating a safe environment, I am able to assist people with opening up and exploring core issues, current obstacles and how to avoid roadblocks along the way. We will focus on how to use emotions to work for you, rather than against you. In doing so, you create your own path to achieving and sustaining mental well-being. We all share the desire to “feel better.” But often times we lack understanding of how to get there, lack maintaining consistency on getting there, or lack the support needed in getting there. If you are ready to reverse negative patterns, find healthy coping and focus personal development in ways that you have desired, please reach out. You don’t have to do this alone. We can start this journey together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will explore where you are and where you have been mentally. We will discuss what has worked and what hasn;t worked. This will help us come up with a plan of how we want to work together. This first session can be both relieving and overwhelming. Therefore, we go at your pace. You set the stage and I am here to help you along the way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a licensed therapist and have been working with individuals to find a path to mental wellness for a many years. In doing so, I have gained experience and expertise to assist with a wide range of challenges. Not every approach works for every person. I am ready to help you find the solutions that work for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can quickly help you identify and cope with specific challenges. It gives YOU the power and tools to design your own thought process. CBT also helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Emotions can be very intense and heavy. When we experience this, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can provide personal tools to help us regulate our emotions instead of the often unhealthy efforts being used to manage or dim emotions. The goal is to accept the reality of who we are and experiences we have had; while still recognizing and implementing ways that change can bring about long-term positive outcomes.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness improves our capacity to cope by identifying the options available to us. Mindfulness leads to greater wellbeing and mental clarity, and an increased ability to care for both yourself and others.
