New clients continue care with this provider

Hi! I'm Dr. Danielle Henderson and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in PA. I specialize in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders using exposure and response prevention (ERP). I've been in the mental health field for over 16 years and have specialized in treating OCD for over 6 years. In addition to treating OCD and anxiety disorders, I provide training to therapists on how to implement ERP.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will tackle some housekeeping tasks, then spend time getting to know you, get a good sense of your symptoms and how I can best help you. Sharing your story, no matter how hard it may feel, will help me to create a treatment plan that is tailored to you and will help you reach your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in treating OCD and anxiety disorders and approach treatment with warmth, compassion and humor (if you're down with that!). I am well-versed in the gold standard of care (ERP) for OCD and incorporate acceptance strategies into treatment when appropriate.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I really love working with clients who are willing to be brave and take on new challenges. This is something that will set you up for success in conquering OCD and living the life you want to live. I'll be there to help and cheerlead you along the way and help empower you to do hard things!

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use ERP to treat OCD and anxiety disorders to help you challenge your fears, break the cycle that leaves you feeling stuck and move toward living a live that is fulfilling for you. ERP is hard work, but engaging in it results in feeling empowered and like you can face anything. I mix ERP with acceptance strategies and tailor treatment to your needs.
