I’m a therapist that will help you process your thoughts and emotions so you can come to the best conclusion that you decide upon. I’ll Keep it real. I won’t sugar coat things but I will be honest and upfront while still validating you and showing the upmost care. I enjoy trying to find the positive in every situation as it helps me make the good that much better and the bad that much more tolerable.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In the intake session I will ask about your background. I want to know about your life up to this point. A brief note about your education, your vocational life, your family Growing up and your family Now. I also want to know about your risk history (ie self Harm or suicide attempts) so that we can work together to avoid any potential harm to self in the future. I will also ask about substance abuse so I can understand if anything maybe contributing to how you are feeling. I will also want to learn about what other providers you have and any medications you are Laing. I will also allow you time to ask about Me. You have a right to know how I am as a therapist and how I plan to serve you. We will also work together to develop your treatment plan.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths are my ability to use humour as well as my ability to find the positive even in depths of tragedy. I also find my realism helps my patients stay grounded as well as realistic in their expectations.
