Hi there! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania, and I have worked in the mental health field since 2005. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I have worked with a wide range of clients from adolescents and adults in both individual and group settings. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and communication difficulties.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session we will have what is called an initial assessment. During this assessment we will discuss the history of the concerns that bring you to therapy, information about how these concerns affect your life including your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. At the end of our initial meeting, we will discuss goals for therapy and create a treatment plan. The treatment plan will outline the anticipated course of treatment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I use tools and techniques such as role-playing and assertiveness training to help clients build their identity and self-esteem to the degree that they can embrace their own personal power. I am dedicated to using evidence-based practices and my approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution focused therapy. I tailor the dialog and treatment plan to meet a client's unique and specific needs.
