Have you been feeling so overwhelmed and anxious that you're finding it challenging to function? Perhaps these feelings have been triggered by work, relationships, past experiences, or your fears. Caring for our mental health can sound so simple but often we wonder- what does that even mean and how the heck do I start? Getting started can feel so intimidating! I believe in the immense benefits of creating space to be still with a therapist, so you can begin to explore your inner world, relationships, past experiences, symptoms and stressors. As a licensed mental health counselor, I have worked with many women over the years to achieve goals ranging from lessened anxiety/depression, improved focus, being kinder to oneself and others, healthy relationship building, and getting unstuck- with all goals leading to living a more fulfilled, joyous, and genuine life! I truly love holding space for clients to do all the therapy things- feel overwhelmingly hard emotions at times, learn about yourself, and create lasting changes.
In our first session together, we’ll start with introductions to get to know one another, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I take on an “eclectic” approach- this means I use several treatment models to find the best fit for you! Just like how we are all so different, I believe there is not one model that fits all. I have years of experience working with the treatment models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Reality Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (in-person appointments only, at this time). As I begin to understand you and your unique needs, I will use the model(s) that will complement your goals. I also use somatic tools- to help build a strong mind/body connection.
Having spent years working with women experiencing depression, anxiety, dysfunctional relationships, trauma responses and ADHD symptoms, I am here to help you find your inner peace and recover from what you have been struggling with.
