I am a therapist that has always been someone that easily connects and empathizes with everyone, especially clients, and it has helped me to build deep and meaningful relationships with the clients I have served. My goal as a therapist is not only to help you work on any issues you are facing and coming into therapy with, but also help you to build yourself up into who you want to be, regardless of how that is. I want you as a person, to be happy with yourself and find balance in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A first session with me is just working to get to know each other a bit, and for me to get to know more in-depth the issues you are facing and what you are looking to work on for yourself. It will be fairly laidback for starting off, no pressure at any point to open up as I know trust and a relationship is built over time, my main goal is for you to feel comfortable with just being yourself.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider one my strengths is my variety of experiences across the board with individuals struggling with various issues ranging from anxiety to more severe issues of schizophrenia, paranoia, and personality disorders. Aside from the range of mental health experience, I feel my best strength is my ability to not only empathize, but connect and get along with most people in my life and who I have worked with. I enjoy getting to know one another, and just being myself, and i encourage anyone I see to just be themselves as well.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For CBT, I work to use it to help you as an individual so understand how your thinking impacts not only your behavior, but all aspects of your life, as well as vice versa with your behavior and your thinking, and how all of that affects your life, relationships, and sense of self.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

For solution focused, my approach with this treatment method it to help work on perspective in the sense of looking at problems, behaviors, etc., as issues that can be solved as a whole. From there it is working on coming up with potential solutions that can work in your life, and how to go about implementing them for yourself.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal treatment for me is understanding that not all the issues someone may be facing are just from themselves, that often times many issues individuals face are coming from many areas of their life. Interpersonal is meant to focus on the relationships, friendships, and family relationships in ones life and working to see how they are affecting the individual, and how we can work together to improve current ones, build new relationships, or balance unhealthy ones.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivation interviewing as a treatment for me simply means approaching issues with an optimistic approach and helping the individual understand themselves, their ability, and how they are able to conquer and work through any problem they face. That they just need to push and believe in themselves, and work a little on it each day, and it will help them get there.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-center is one of my favorite treatment methods, and is a huge aspect of just how I go about life. With person-centered, my goal is for individuals to feel as safe as they can, and to have a place where they can talk, cry, feel cared about, and work towards making positive changes in their life through that safe environment.
