Hola! I'm a biracial and bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I have 10 years experience in the social work field. I have experience as an intensive therapist providing psychotherapy for those struggling with serious mental health conditions /Caregiver burnout/suicidal ideation/trauma/ anxiety/depression/grief & loss/life transitions/discrimination/self-harming behaviors/& stress. I support adolescents and adults rediscover themselves, own their self-worth, and use their strengths to become not only the best versions of themselves, but feel better so they can enjoy life again. I’m excited to support you on your journey, whether this is your first time with therapy or returning! Navigating life transitions and everything life throws at you can be tough and you deserve to feel supported!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will get to know you. We will do introductions, learn about your needs, goals, and current challenges or setbacks you're facing. I will also inquire about your interests and your values to tailor an individualized plan for you!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I always aim to support you in liking yourself and owning your worth! I also always take a client-centered approach because at the end of the day, you know yourself best. Coming from a trauma informed lens, I utilize various approaches to getting to the root of problems/setbacks to support in overcoming and continuing self-development journey.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who are going through transitional periods in their lives, managing trauma reminders, are grieving past versions of themselves/mourning a loss/grieving expectations not being met with life goals, or navigating regular life in general. I enjoy supporting clients in rediscovering their WHY, reinforce their purpose, and reach their goals. I work with those who have lots of knowledge, but life is lifing so returning back to therapy AND those who are giving this a try for the first time and don't know where to begin! I enjoy working with teens and adults who are struggling with adapting to changes, trauma, caregiving burnout, identity crisis, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and everything in between!

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I have years of experience supporting teens and adults process and understand how past experiences, trauma, and distressing moments can still influence and trigger present day problems. I provide-psycho-education and training on identifying the relationships and link of past to present, in order to break the cycle and learn adaptive strategies to cope and move foward.

Grief Therapy

I have years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults process and cope during the grieving process. I provide psycho-education and normalize your unique grieving process and common symptoms associated with grief that impacts you.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Process trauma and stress reminders that trigger intense feelings, in order to catch, check, and reframe negative/anxious/unhelpful thoughts. After that, develop an individualized plan to motivate us to follow through on plan for behavioral activation (engaging in identified activities & action steps). Process stress reminders to begin healing journey!

Trauma Informed Care

Supporting your journey through a trauma informed lens that comes from a non judgmental and understanding perspective of unhelpful behaviors and thoughts being driven by being in survival mode.

Strength-Based

Focus on your strengths, gifts, interests, hobbies, and abilities to drive you to accomplishing your goals. Focus on what has worked for you to change narrative that you can accomplish your goals.
