Hi there and Welcome! Im grateful to see that you've taken the first step towards change. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, life-transitions, trauma and abuse. I believe that our relationship is the most important aspect of therapy. Integrity, compassion and empathy are core values in my practice and I look forward to co-creating a plan to help you reach your desired goals. You are the expert of your story and I am here to support and guide you along your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be spent reviewing consent documents, appointment policies, and ways that I can best support you. I explain how and what things I need from each client in order to do my best work. In essence, informed consent will go both ways. Each subsequent session is catered to each family/ individual depending on needs, capacity, willingness to be uncomfortable and dedication to this process.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I cater my approach to the individual/family the presents themselves to me. I enjoy utilizing various forms of worksheets, videos, games, relaxation tools and other tactile activities to engage clients.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a marriage and family therapist I believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, otherwise known as systemic thinking. What does that mean for you? I view a client as being influenced by the multiple categories that they identify with. For example, an interracial couple with high stress & demanding careers present as they are having difficulty blending their family. Their children are not getting along, tensions are high and patience is thin. They live in an affluent neighborhood, but don't feel welcome due to some of their neighbors behaviors. I would see the layers as their family, their work culture, their school-life, their socio-economic status, their living conditions, and local/national/world current events. We don't live in silos, even if it feels like it.
