I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families. I understand the emotional pressures and expectations many young people carry, and I know personally what it feels like to struggle silently while appearing “fine” on the outside. Because of that, I provide therapy with compassion, honesty, and care. I create a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and safe to show up as they truly are.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is simply a space for us to get to know each other. My priority is helping you feel comfortable and at ease. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what support you’re hoping to receive. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, and you’ll have space to share as much or as little as you feel ready to. This first conversation is about connection and understanding. I want you to leave feeling heard, supported, and confident that this is a place where you can show up honestly.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a counselor are my ability to truly listen and create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest. I am deeply empathetic, but I am also steady and practical. I pay attention to patterns, help clients make meaningful connections, and offer tools they can actually use outside of our sessions. I tailor my approach to each person, because no two stories are the same. Clients often appreciate that I am warm, direct when needed, and focused on helping them make real, lasting progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support teens and young adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, pressure, and the expectation to have it all together. Many of my clients are navigating school stress, life transitions, family dynamics, or the emotional weight of trying to meet high expectations. They often appear capable on the outside but feel anxious, uncertain, or exhausted internally. I also work closely with parents who want to better understand their child’s emotional needs and strengthen communication at home. I am a strong fit for individuals and families who are open to reflection, ready for honest conversations, and looking for steady, compassionate support.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help young people understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Many children and teens struggle with harsh self-talk, anxious thinking, or unhelpful patterns that impact how they show up at school and at home. In our work together, we identify those patterns and develop healthier, more balanced ways of responding to challenges. For parents, I provide guidance on how to reinforce these skills outside of sessions so progress continues beyond the therapy room. My goal is to offer practical tools that feel realistic and supportive, helping children, teens, and families build confidence and emotional resilience over time.

Polyvagal Therapy

Using principles from Polyvagal Theory, I help clients understand how their nervous system responds to stress. When we feel anxious, overwhelmed, or shut down, our bodies are often reacting automatically in fight, flight, or freeze mode. Together, we identify those patterns and learn ways to help the body feel safer and more regulated. With children and teens, I translate these ideas into simple, practical tools they can use in everyday situations to manage big emotions and feel more in control. I also guide parents in understanding their child’s stress responses and in creating a supportive environment that encourages regulation, connection, and growth.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify what is already working and build from there. Rather than spending all of our time revisiting what is wrong, we focus on strengths, small wins, and realistic next steps. Even in difficult seasons, there are moments of resilience we can build on. Together, we set clear, achievable goals and outline practical steps toward progress. With children and teens, I keep this approach concrete and encouraging. I also support parents in reinforcing these positive shifts at home so growth feels steady and sustainable.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Through Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), I work with both you and your child to strengthen your relationship while addressing emotional or behavioral concerns. This approach recognizes that a child’s experiences shape how they feel, respond, and connect. In our sessions, we gently explore how past or stressful experiences may be impacting your child’s current reactions. Together, we focus on building safety, trust, and stronger communication so your child feels supported and understood. I also provide practical guidance to help you respond in ways that encourage connection and emotional growth at home.
