Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas. I graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler with a master’s degree in school counseling and continued my education at Stephen F. Austin to become a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I also have my perinatal mental health certification. I enjoy helping my clients be the best they can be by meeting them where they are. Together, we focus on the tools necessary to become mentally healthy in order to live our best life!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then go over your intake information to better understand the challenges you are facing. Together, we will come up with a treatment plan for us to work through follow-up sessions. As goals are accomplished, new goals will be created as needed. We will also use this time to address any questions or concerns you may have about therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think one of my greatest strengths as a provider is my rapport building! I think it is essential in order to truly understand where a client is coming from. It is important that every client feels heard and valued. My hope is that I can provide the tools that are necessary for the client to make positive steps in the right direction. I want my clients to feel empowered and have the confidence to continue to do the work even when it is challenging!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with teenagers and adults that are trying to figure out how to be their best selves regardless of their current circumstances. So many times, our lack of mental health gets in the way. Anxiety and depression are common, especially with teens and adults facing life's challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help people learn how to identify and change the destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behavior and emotions. I consider myself to be a down to earth person that wants to intentionally provide an environment where clients can feel safe sharing without judgement. Through collaboration, goals are set, progress is tracked, and success is celebrated!
