Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York. I received my Masters from Columbia University and have been practicing for 4 years. I support children, adolescents, and young people struggling with anxiety, self-esteem issues, and trauma symptoms. I incorporate creative elements to therapy and an unconditionally non-judgmental approach. My favorite part about therapy is walking alongside my clients as they work toward their goals, while providing validation, encouragement, and warmth every step of the way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, we will begin establishing therapeutic rapport. I truly believe that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership and that trust between the client and therapist is essential for positive therapeutic outcomes. We will share introductions by discussing interests, support systems, and anything you think is important for me to know about you. Then, we will delve into what you would like to accomplish in therapy together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with various clients during the past four years in multiple settings, including hospitals, schools, communities, and virtually. I have had the privilege of supporting my clients as they manage anxiety, depression, and trauma. I provide kindness, warmth, and unconditional support along every step of their journey when setbacks can sometimes be inevitable, but are also okay. I help them understand that they are the masters of their own lives and implement daily practices that reinforce this concept.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use TF-CBT to support my clients in understanding the deeper meaning behind their behaviors and regaining control of their unhelpful thoughts in the context of trauma. I have used TF-CBT with a range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults and provide psychoeducation about trauma so that they can better understand the reason for their trauma symptoms.

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR and use this therapeutic approach to help my clients process traumatic event(s) and guide them toward stability and a re-established sense of safety.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to help my clients manage their anxieties and depression. I love this form of therapy because it is very specific to the client; for example, a child who has experienced trauma might benefit from an safe place visualization of an imaginary world, while an adult managing anxiety might benefit from a 5-4-3-2-1 technique to fully activate and engage their five senses.

Play Therapy

I use play therapy with children to understand their thoughts and feelings in the way that feels most comfortable and natural for them-through play.

Strength-Based

My clients often come to me with valid stressors, worries, and fears; I balance the challenges with a strengths-based perspective, because we often don't know just how resilient we are.
