Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Therapist (LCPC) based in Atlanta, GA and serving clients in Illinois. I received my M.Ed. in counseling from DePaul University and my training and professional experience with adolescent and young adult clients in a variety of settings (a behavioral health center, college wellness center, and therapeutic school) and levels of care (outpatient, intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), and residential treatment). My primary goal in my work with clients is to help them identify their own values and goals and to support them in making healthy changes in their thoughts, behaviors, and self-care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I get to know my clients by reviewing the intake and understanding what the client hopes to address and improve in their lives. By the end of the first session, the client and I will have a mutual understanding of the goals we will focus on in our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work to build a meaningful connection with my clients and ensure they feel their feelings and experiences are valid. I aim to support my clients in living their lives aligned with their personal values.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I teach and coach clients through the use of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) techniques and skills that connect thought and behavior changes. I utilize “homework” between sessions that includes tracking thoughts and behaviors, identifying and challenging distorted thinking patterns, reframing thoughts, and much more.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help patients manage intense emotions. Therapy sessions and “homework” may include specific use of mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance and emotion regulation strategies and skills that can help individuals change unhealthy behavior patterns and build healthier lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With solution-focused therapy, I work with clients to identify solutions to their presenting problems by creating goals to improve specific areas of their lives or their daily functioning. Sessions begin by helping clients identify their values and strengths and may focus on managing stress, building healthy relationships, improving self-esteem or managing mood and anxiety symptoms that are negatively impacting daily functioning.
