Hi, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Illinois. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP) degree holder, from Frontier Nursing University. I bagged my Masters Degree in Nursing ( MSN) from Walden University. I have been in Nursing field for over 16yrs, helping patients throughout life span. I specifically help adolescents, young and older adults struggling with behavioral health issues become the best versions of themselves by managing their symptoms and medications.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges the client is facing. This will assist me create a tailored plan for us to work through in subsequent follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with different age groups for over a year, I have developed a tried and true playbook for helping clients (a) identify the root cause of their challenges and (b) create a tailored treatment plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adolescents, young and older adults who are still in school and some few years of their careers. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck , overwhelmed and anxious about their future and careers.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In most cases, I explain how thoughts lead to feelings and my CBT treatment plan includes objectives of therapy, a list of techniques and intervention to use and a timeline for treatment goals. In clients with social anxiety for instance, the goal will be to make more friends or be more social. I use CBT to encourage positive thinking by the client, learn to cope with emotions like depression and sadness.
