My psychodynamic approach to change is based upon understanding your sometimes subtle, unconscious patterns that keep you stuck. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is an hour meeting of sharing what brought you to therapy and your relevant background history. I also share my background and approach to how I do therapy. This is mainly a chance for you to ask me any questions and see if we could be a good fit to work together.

Specialty in: Complex Trauma & Relationships; Chronic Anxiety and/or Depression; Substance Abuse. I use a holistic approach that maximizes and builds upon your inherent strengths while more effectively managing your limitations & challenges. In sessions I combine active, supportive listening with appropriate feedback as needed.

I work primarily with adults - including but not limited to professionals, parents, students, and veterans. I work best with individuals who are introspective and curious to uncover their inner world with me as a guide and their witness. Our work is a collaboration and a commitment to an ongoing process of healing and growth.
