Hello and welcome! I'm Dr. Shar. First, I want to acknowledge that you visiting this page took courage and speaks to your aspiration for change. As a therapist, I help create a safe, comfortable, supportive space that allows clients to process life’s challenges. I will work with you to help you in achieving growth, healing, and becoming the best version of yourself.
In our first session we will engage in brief introductions, discuss perceptions and expectations for therapy, and explore challenges you are experiencing. We will then identify your goals - where you want your life to be and how you want to feel. This information we help me create a personalized plan for helping you achieve your goals.
Clients who work with me will be seen, heard, and valued. Over the past 9 years I have helped clients unlock new perspectives and behaviors that contribute to them experiencing wellness and wholeness. I will help you identify and push past the barriers hindering balance and growth by equipping you with sustainable wellness practices.
I love working with women who are feeling burned out or overwhelmed by the demands of life. My clients tend to prioritize others and/or their obligations over their own personal mental heath and wellness. They may be feeling stressed, anxious, or fatigued as they are navigating through life. I enjoy helping clients learn how to implement balance in their day to day lives while also empowering them to prioritize their wellness.
I am a strength-based counselor who believes people possess the ability to achieve the change they desire. My approach entails empowering my clients to recognize the strengths they possess in their internal resources, abilities, and resilience, while simultaneously equipping them with the skills necessary for improving their mental and emotional wellbeing.
