Hello, I believe everyone deserves a Safe Non-Judgemental Therapeutic Space to process Emotions, Stress, Trauma, Success, Hope, Life Goals, and be Validated all along the way. I am a white, heterosexual, male, in my late 40s, a newer husband, & father of two young children. Therapy has helped heal & shape my own life. It has also put me on a path to help others Build, Strengthen, & Heal all important life relationships.
I will explore a person's previous experience with therapy and their ideas about therapy. We will review therapy session expectations. We will get to know one another and begin to collaborate on developing treatment goals.
Listening, empathizing, validating, being a positive male role model, being appropriately direct, highlighting personal strengths, incorporating both life experience and educational training into my treatment approach.
My experience has been in both home & outpatient settings. I’ve provided In-person and Telehealth therapy sessions. I view all people, families, communities, as being connected through relationships. The struggles we experience in our daily lives are symptoms of relationship issues that require healing. A Family Therapy Approach results in the strengthening & healing of relationships, Decreasing Anxiety, Learning how to put Self First, & Increasing Self-esteem.
Automatic thoughts are connected to our feelings and then drive our behaviors. Identifying accurate vs inaccurate thought patterns allow for shifts in such behaviors. Through exploring client's strengths; healthier coping strategies can be developed, practiced, and implemented.
An understanding of what our bodies are telling us during times of high stress is an important tool for improving mental health. Recognizing that Physical Symptoms can manifest themselves in connection with Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression is a way to feel more In-Control of our Well-Being.
