Hello, I am so glad you’re here! You are one step closer to a new you who feels empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being, and I want to help you get there! My name is Sheila Bridges. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2005. I’ve been practicing as a Licensed Clinical social worker psychotherapist since 2008 and I have worked with a myriad of populations in various settings. I am passionate about the work that I do. I would like to work together with you to help you face your fears and get past your pain so you can continue to get stronger and better and move on with your life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
There may be some preliminary intake questions that will need to be answered. During the first session, we will be rapport building, discussing reasons client is currently seeking therapy, and exploring what client would like to achieve from participating in therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I like working from a strengths-based perspective. and providing a lot of encouragement while working with my client to accomplish their goals.
