I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Behavior Analyst with more than 12 years of experience working in both fields with children, adults and the geriatric population. I am here to help my clients managing his/her depression, anxiety, build self-esteem, improve interpersonal and family relations, and manage and adjust to life changes. I am here to guide my client through this journey of self- discovery and healing. I also have years of experience working with persons with disabilities, neurodivergent clients and their caregivers.
In our first session we will explore what brought you to therapy and we will determine the best approaches to use to support your progress. We will explore how I can help you.
I offer experience, empathy, support, guidance, and compassion. I am here to listen, never to judge my clients.
My client feels anxious, depressed, disconnected, emotionally drained, has family issues, may have behavioral problems, but wants to make meaningful changes in his/her life and/or wants to help others. I also love to help the caregivers of children and adults.
I use CBT with most of my clients, helping them to develop healthy coping skills focusing on moving forward in time to develop more effective ways of coping, teaching and helping them to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behaviors.
I use DBT with my clients to help them becoming more aware of their negative thought patterns and changing them, moderate excessive emotions, be more tolerant of high stress levels and other triggers, focusing more on the positive activities that keeps them healthy, giving my clients better skills to live a happier and more productive life.
Mindfulness is a type of talk therapy that I use to teach my clients to be more aware of their internal thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as external surroundings and situations reducing anxiety, depression, and stress levels. I love to use guided imagery, visualizations, breathing techniques and meditation.
I help my clients to focus on the present, to understand what is happening in their lives at the moment, what is happening now rather than to focus on the past.
During therapy, my clients lead the process, guided by me experience, empathy and support. We focus on creating a safe and accepting environment where we explore their thoughts and feelings; I encourage them to take responsibility for their own growth and problem-solving.
