I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), based in Texas with a Master's in Social Work and four years of dedicated practice. I specialize in supporting at-risk populations through significant life transitions, stress management, and healing from generational trauma. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy and is carefully tailored to each client, helping them achieve meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to gather a comprehensive understanding of your experiences and goals. I'll ask questions to learn about the challenges you are facing and desired outcomes, and we'll work together to outline a path forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is an honor to walk alongside each client who grants me that privilege. I firmly believe that clients are the experts of their own lives, so I focus on embracing their perspectives and experiences. My goal is to guide the therapeutic journey while ensuring that our work is tailored to fit your unique needs. I enjoy coloring outside the lines and use various therapeutic approaches to customize interventions that effectively address your specific challenges.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice, I use ACT to guide clients through difficult feelings or experiences without trying to avoid or control them. I help clients explore how their thoughts might be keeping them stuck and work with them to build mindfulness skills. By identifying their core values, we develop actionable steps that allow them to live more fully, even in the face of challenges. ACT helps clients shift from focusing on eliminating pain to living in alignment with what matters most.

Attachment-based

In my practice, I use this approach to help clients explore the impact of their past relationships on their current emotional experiences and behavior. By addressing attachment wounds or insecurities, we work together to build healthier connections and a stronger sense of self. This approach is particularly useful for those struggling with relationship issues, trust, or self-esteem. It helps clients develop secure, fulfilling relationships by fostering awareness and healing of past relational dynamics.

Trauma-Focused CBT

In my practice, I use TF-CBT to help clients process their trauma by integrating cognitive behavioral techniques with a trauma-sensitive approach. This involves helping clients understand how their trauma impacts their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and gradually guiding them to reframe harmful thought patterns. I also incorporate relaxation and coping strategies to manage distressing emotions, allowing clients to regain a sense of control and safety. TF-CBT is particularly valuable for reducing trauma symptoms and fostering resilience.
