Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor from Texas. I went to the University of Texas at El Paso. I have 10 years of experience working with various ages and mental health conditions. I have been working with children for 5 years but have continued to work with adults. I also work with couples for relationship counseling. So my type of client can be a child, adult or a couple.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will make introductions and then focus on what the issue is. We will set goals and decide what our plan is.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my strength as a provider is having a variety of experience with difference issues. This allows me the ability to problem-solve issues and come up with a plan for treatment so that goals can be met.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I can serve a variety of clients. From school age children with behavioral issues to adults with a variety of mental health issues, that can range from depression to trauma, to couples counseling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been successful with Cognitive Behavior Therapy. It is a scientifically proven method and it does work. Our thinking patterns definitely affect our behavior. Once we realize this, we can make an effort to change them.

Couples Counseling

I have worked with many couples. By exploring issues such as communication, conflict resolution and problem solving we can build a stronger relationship.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for clients with specific traumas. I have found this to be a beneficial and effective way in processing those traumas.
