Hello there, my name is Glenise. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your Journey Back To You, if YOU allow it. I work with adult men and women who are experiencing life stressors that can range from past hurts, relationship issues, communication issues, work-related issues, and all of the various life stressors that we, as humans experience. I meet you where you are and assist you in using the resources that you have within you and outside of you. If you are struggling or feeling "stuck" or "lost"; maybe even questioning your purpose; or are simply wanting to do better for yourself, I can assist. I individualize your therapy experience and work with you as you do the hard work. Please schedule a 15 minute free consult with me to determine if we are good fit and when you are ready, let's get started on this journey, I got you. Visit: Simplythrivesolutions.com to learn more about me and what I do. Peace and Love, Glenise ~ Your Intensive Care Bear Therapist.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Typically, your first session is called an intake session. I complete a very thorough session with you in where I get to know you, I ask a lot of questions, and then we come up with a plan for your treatment. I would encourage you to observe your therapist during this session to determine if it is a good fit for you and your needs. This session is typically from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. I will ask you a lot of questions about your past and present experiences however, you have the right to decline to answer which is never a problem. Be at ease. Come to your first session as yourself and we can go from there. You and I will collaborate together to come up with a good treatment plan and I will give you next steps towards the end of your session. Next steps typically include the recommended frequency for your sessions, a treatment plan to begin the hard work, and answer any other questions that you may be curious about. Expect to laugh a little bit and to be heard.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize evidence-based techniques and I am eclectic and psychodynamic. I like to use a variety of methods that have been proven to be effective. I am also trained in EMDR treatment and offer EMDR for clients that are appropriate for this treatment. EMDR treatment is not psychotherapy and it is a stand-alone treatment modality. Please schedule a consult if you are specifically interested in EMDR only.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am relatable and can resonate with many of my client's life stressors. My specialties are trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, communication issues, work-related issues, criminal justice issues, divorce issues, stress management, anger management, and other mental health-related issues.
