PMHNP, 13 years of experience
Hello, my name is Denise Chandler. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Practitioner. Do you ever feel like you’re on a roller coaster with the ups and downs of your physical, emotional, and mental health? Maybe you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, unmotivated, or struggle with low sex drive and loss of joy in things that once felt fun and fulfilling. I help people just like you with health challenges that affect quality of life. Hormones, vitamin deficiencies, and methylation issues can all contribute to fatigue, stress, anxiety, and depression—making daily life more difficult than it should be. Life changes such as empty nest, relationship struggles, loss of loved ones, or simply managing the endless demands of work, home, and family can add even more weight. These layers of stress often show up as mood changes, exhaustion, or intimacy concerns. My goal is to help you uncover the root causes, restore balance, and regain the energy, clarity, and confidence you need to thrive.
What to Expect in Your First Session In our first session together, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding your unique story. This is your time to share what you’ve been experiencing and what your goals are for your health and well-being. We will cover: Introduction & history – learning about you, your health background, and the challenges you’re facing. What has worked (and what hasn’t) – reviewing past treatments, medications, or strategies. Support systems – exploring who supports you at home, work, and in daily life. Comprehensive health review – discussing sleep, recent lab work, genetic testing, and any ongoing medical conditions. Mental health & therapy – checking in on counseling, therapy, or other mental health support. Expectations & goals – defining what you hope to gain from our work together and setting a clear direction forward. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where we can look at the whole picture—mind, body, and environment—so we can uncover the root causes of your symptoms and begin building a plan that truly works for you.
My Greatest Strengths What sets me apart as a provider is my ability to see the whole picture of health — how physical health directly impacts emotional well-being, and ultimately mental health. I listen. My clients feel truly heard and understood because I take the time to listen to their story. I ask thoughtful questions. This allows me to uncover the root causes of challenges and see connections others may miss. I educate and empower. I believe knowledge is power. I make sure you understand your options so you can make informed choices about your care. I collaborate. You are an active participant in your care. I welcome your questions, input, and preferences as we work together to create a plan tailored to your needs. My greatest strength lies in helping you feel supported, validated, and equipped with practical solutions that can improve your quality of life.
Dream Clients & Expertise I specialize in working with men, women, and youth ages 14 and older who may be experiencing hormone-related changes that impact both their physical and mental health. Many of my clients face challenges such as: Hormone-related conditions: menopause, perimenopause, PMDD, puberty, menarche, dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, anemia. Sexual health concerns: painful sex, orgasmic dysfunction, low sex drive. Mental health struggles: ADHD (diagnosed or undiagnosed), depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and more. With 10 years of experience in Women’s Health Care, I bring deep knowledge of how hormonal shifts affect mood, energy, and overall well-being. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I also provide comprehensive care for men—supporting those who struggle with depression, anxiety, weight concerns, insomnia, and the stressors of daily life. My passion is helping clients uncover the root causes of their symptoms—whether physical, hormonal, or emotional—so they can restore balance, feel better, and thrive.
