With over 11 years in practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring both clinical expertise and real-life experience to the work I do. My journey began at Florida A&M University, where I earned my undergraduate degree before launching a successful career in business—specializing in consumer finance, compliance, and corporate training. After becoming a mother, I felt a deep calling to support other women in living more purposeful, emotionally balanced lives. That passion led me to earn a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, I’ve worked across a wide range of treatment settings, supporting individuals and families through challenges related to anger, relationships, parenting, and emotional overwhelm. As the founder of Closet Therapy with Dina, I blend mental health counseling, lifestyle coaching, and professional organizing to help women declutter their lives from the inside out. When you work with me, you’re choosing a therapist who is not only highly trained—but deeply committed to your growth, healing, and empowerment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will spend time not only getting to know one another but getting clear on your vision and desires. This is our time to build the foundation for the work we will do to create the changes you want to see.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is relatability. Coupled with profound listening, reliability enables me to connect and build trust quickly with my clients. Trust enables clients to move forward more quickly in a emotionally supportive environment.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a single and very busy mother of many years, I am perfectly positioned to serve both partnered and unpartnered parents dealing with life transition issues and overwhelm. I have been almost every type of mom and understand the obstacles women are chronically facing. I help women with an integrative approach to managing and sustaining the life of their choosing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

If you're constantly battling self-doubt, overthinking, or emotional burnout, CBT offers a practical, empowering path forward. Together, we'll explore how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors—and more importantly, how to reframe or shift your perspective. Whether it's perfectionism, anxiety, depression/loss, or frustration getting in your way, I’ll help you develop tools to reframe unhelpful patterns, manage stress more effectively, and start showing up with clarity and confidence in every area of your life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

You are not failing (though it feels that way!)—you just need to get clear direction and let go of the obstacle that no longer serve you. SFBT is a powerful, forward-focused approach that helps you cut through the noise and focus on solutions, not problems. In our work together, we’ll set meaningful goals, identify your existing strengths, and take small, actionable steps that lead to real change. This is perfect if you're craving clarity, structure, and results without spending months in therapy rehashing the past.

Couples Counseling

Every relationship goes through seasons—and sometimes, you just need a safe, structured space to reconnect. In couples therapy, I help partners break toxic communication cycles, rebuild trust, and learn how to truly hear and understand one another. Whether you’re navigating conflict, intimacy issues, parenting stress, or just feeling emotionally distant, our sessions are designed to help you move from frustration to teamwork. Together, we’ll build healthier patterns and a stronger foundation—so your relationship can thrive, not just survive.
